About the GRID
The Austin Electronic Music Grid is a conglomeration of Austin-based electronic musicians including electronic and industrial bands, experimental electronic, and dj's. The only aim of the Grid is the mutual promotion of its members by its members to the audience. Artists and fans alike - If you like one of our artists then please check out our other artists. Come to our showcases, dance, and stomp your feet to the sounds of the Austin electronic music scene.

Mission
We want the entire electronic music scene here in Austin to prosper. In attempt to facilitate this aim we attempt to provide networking opportunities and avenues for promotion to electronic artists. We're not in competition with, but would rather like to work with, other Austin entities and organizations in an attempt to promote the Grid, its members, and the Austin electronic scene as a whole. Ultimately we all want more people to go out and enjoy all that the rising Austin underground electronic scene has to offer.

For Event Organizers, Venue Owners and Management
Currently the GRID's services for events include booking, event management, event art and graphic design, marketing and promotions. We're available for single or multistage day or night events. Depending on your needs our services can also include paid advertising, event sound and lighting support and coordination, and as always we offer the very best of the live electronic Austin underground no matter what genre(s) you're looking for. We offer all of our services to our members for free thus the profit we receive from events is fully dispersed among the artists as a part of the GRID's commitment to its members. Consequently the GRID will not generally donate its services for free and we base our payment expectations on Austin industry standards, flat rates and/or percentages of the door or bar (terms vary on a case by case basis depending on your pay preferences but the GRID is always extremely flexible and reasonable in accommodating). In other words - we want paying gigs for our artists, but we also encourage you to approach us if you have an idea for a promotional event or benefit you feel would be valuable for us to contribute to.

For Members
Potential and active members of the GRID please note that members agree to the GRID member terms and conditions by becoming a GRID member.

Our basic philosophy is that there are no artist fees to be a member of the GRID or for the booking and web promotion we provide for showcases. We however guarantee no services to any member of the GRID other than sponsorship and networking opportunities and we'll retain these simple intentions. Members of the Grid can use our name and logo for promotional-value only sponsorship. We include as many members as possible at our showcases but it is impossible to showcase everyone. All members are however encouraged to come to the showcases to network and bounce ideas off of their peers. Showcases will be heavily promoted by the GRID online. The Future of the GRID
The GRID is a homegrown cooperative geared towards generating attention and revenue for Austin electronic music and we aim to keep these simple intentions. Our ultimate aim remains to get the artists to promote themselves, and to get the artists more money by getting more people out to shows, making venue owners happier, and getting paid more.
